The Sedro-Woolley Police Department responded to several calls for service between Aug. 1 and Aug. 5. This is a sample of those calls

Aug. 1

2:41 a.m. Complainant in the 500 block of State Street called to report someone had broken the windows out of the passenger side of his vehicle. He does not believe anything was taken and stimated the amount to repair the vehicle at $350. Police have possible suspect information.

10:40 a.m. An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Garden of Eden Road to the report of a vehicle prowl. The resident said that a CD player, mounting bracket and driver’s license were taken from her vehicle overnight. No suspects. Total value of property was $249.

10:52 a.m. Officers were on Highway 20 near Highway 9 and were two vehicles behind another vehicle. When the light turned green, the vehicle accelerated rapidly and you could hear the vehicle was extremely loud, even over the police radio and in-car radio. The vehicle had been modified. The officers stopped the vehicle and the driver was warned about his driving and was told to get the exhaust changed so it was not so loud.

Officer contacted the subject and asked what he was doing and he said that he didn’t have a way to get home so he slept in the recycling bin. The officer explained to him the dangers of sleeping in the recycling bin and he was trespassed from the property.
