6:03 p.m. Skagit County Sheriff deputies received a report that numerous CDs and two wallets with credit cards and ID were stolen from a vehicle in the 19400 block of Highway 9, Lake Cavanaugh.
July 29
9:54 a.m. A caller in the 3600 block of Friday Creek Road, Alger, reported some jewelry was stolen from his residence. A deputy found the stolen item at a local pawn shop. He tracked down the suspect who admitted to the theft. The 22-year-old Mount Vernon man was cited for theft in the third.
July 30
10:25 p.m. A 28-inch TV, numerous CDs, a boombox, a laptop computer and a blank check book were taken from a house in the 16800 block of Jungquist Road, Mount Vernon. The method of entry and when the burglary occurred are unknown.
July 31
5:37 p.m. Deputies received a report of disorderly conduct in the 11900 block of Avon Allen Road, Burlington. A woman riding in the back of a Skagit Transit bus was yelling profanities to no one in particular. Deputies contacted the woman and removed her from the bus. She appeared to be under the influence of some mind-altering substance. She was given a courtesy ride home.
Aug. 1
2:53 p.m. Sometime during the past few months several power tools were stolen from a house in the 20900 block of Lake Sixteen Road, Conway.
Aug. 2
2:08 a.m. A caller in the 5700 block of Smith Road, Edison, reported hearing a noise. He looked outside and saw two men walking around his barn. A deputy checked the area and located men hiding in grass. A 27-year-old Oregon man and a 26-year-old Idaho man were cited for trespassing.
Aug. 4
6:36 a.m. A cow was reported loose in the 12600 block of Persons Road, Bayview. Animal control located the wayward cow, found the owner and cited her for livestock at large. There have been several previous complaints about the cow.
10:18 a.m. Several neon beer signs and some Christmas decorations were stolen from a shed in the 33400 block of N. Shore Drive, Lake Cavanaugh, sometime over the past few weeks.
2:01 p.m. A caller in the 23200 block of Lake McMurray Lane, Mount Vernon, reported that four custom aluminum wheels had been stolen and eight gallons of gas had been siphoned.
9:36 p.m. Two bottles of prescription drugs were stolen from a vehicle in the 18900 block of Cook Road, Burlington. Entry was gained through a broken window.
