Once the furor of a too-white Christmas is over and new year festivities are firmly in the past, the citizens of Anacortes can return to one of their more leisurely special events — the First Friday Gallery Walk 6-9 p.m. Friday.
What better way to spend an evening than walking off the holiday feast while enjoying fabulous artwork at several participating galleries? Standout shows include a new show of raku jars, kimono tiles and pastel colored tulip vases by Marguerite Goff at the Anne Martin McCool Gallery and continuing shows of Joel Brock’s pastels and acrylics at the Scott Milo Gallery and of fine art glass at the Depot Arts Center Gallery.
This month’s Gallery Walk:

• Insights Gallery is closed in January.
• Adrift, 510 Commercial Ave., is showing work by regional artists.
