When famous writer Agatha Mystry, played by Bev Martin, dies unnaturally, figure out whodunit at the ‘Murder in the Library’ fundraiser Nov. 7.

The Anacortes Public Library Foundation invites you to solve a “Murder in the Library,” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at the library.

Admission to the second annual murder mystery fundraiser is $35. RSVPs have been extended to Nov. 4. For reservations or questions, call the library at 293-1910, ext. 30.

A live game of Clue unfolds with a book signing for Agatha Mystry, a famous writer who has just published a thriller, “Deader than a Doornail.” When she suddenly dies from other than natural causes, someone in the room must be the murderer. Participants will search the crime scene, listen to the suspects’ alibis, collect clues and help reveal the perpetrator.

The Jerry Jones Trio provides background music while sleuths collect clues. Washington State wines will be available and refreshments include hors d’oeuvres. Desserts, wine and coffee will be served while the amateur detectives prepare police reports. The super sleuth who solves the mystery will receive a special award.

This delightful evening of intrigue, jazz, refreshments and camaraderie benefits the Anacortes Public Library. If you cannot attend, donations are always welcome. Proceeds will be used to purchase books and other library materials.
