Hwy. 9 reopens after spill of railroad ties

Highway 9 reopened at around 4:30 p.m. today after a semi tractor rolled over spilling a load of railroad ties onto roadway, just north of the Skagit-Whatcom County line.

The accident was reported at about 12:30 p.m. today at Doram Road, near Whickersham. The road was closed for about four hours.
