BOW — Al and Bettie Warkentin will mark their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, with a family get-together from 2 to 4 p.m.
The Warkentins’ children and their spouses are Sylvia Fashant of SeaTac; Clarice and Daryl Thaete of SeaTac; Naomi and Garry Stearns of Auburn; Mark Warkentin of Sudan, Africa; Jim and Tina Warkentin of Sedro-Woolley; Rose and Paul Hoeft of Powell, Wyo.; and Thelly and Lee Hudson of Omak.
The couple are retired, but still run the ranch. They have 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Al and Bettie Warkentin were married Aug. 24, 1948, at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Hooker, Okla.
