MOUNT VERNON — Derrick DeVries scored off a rebound in the second overtime period to give the Hurricanes the victory.

Stefan Berryman scored seven minutes in to give MVC (3-0 Northwest League, 6-2 overall) the lead, but the Highlanders forged a 2-1 lead heading into the final minutes. David Riley scored off an assist from Mark deVries in the 78th minute for the tie, setting up DeVries for the golden goal.
