MOUNT VERNON — Lauren Elisabeth Westgaard and Brandon James Hoekstra announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joel and Paula Westgaard of Tacoma.
The groom-to-be is the son of Brad and Trina Hoekstra of Mount Vernon.
Westgaard is working toward a degree in anthropology at Central Washington University.
Hoekstra graduated in 2007 from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in business. He works as a park ranger at Olmstead Place State Park in Ellensburg.
The couple have announced an Aug. 9 wedding in Tacoma.
