Zamora’s competency hearing delayed

MOUNT VERNON — Even though attorneys agreed Friday that murder defendant Isaac L. Zamora was competent to stand trial, his defense attorney decided before today’s competency hearing that he couldn’t agree to that after all.

Figures.  Nice this attorney wasted a lot more of the tax payers money.  Seems he is the same attorney for another murder defendant.  I’m sure he is trying to get in front of meyer with this one too.  I hope Judge Rickert had a few words for him about wasting everyones time after agreeing he is competant.  What, we going to get another doctor to take five minutes to form an opinion again.  Maybe we should get the guy from the “Mentalist”

How long do these families of the people he murdered have to wait for justice to be served?  He told them he killed these people.  Why is his attorney dragging his feet.  He showed no mercy while pulling the trigger, looking them straight in the face, even when they begged for mercy.  The death penalty better still be an option for what he did.  I for one do not want my tax’s to pay for his room and board for the rest of his life.  I normally do not speak out about the death penalty but this matter is entirely different.

sdalouden - I would support a plea deal of permanent confinement on the grounds it’ll take years before capital punishment is taken on this agent of Satan named Issac Zamora.  And if that get’s me banned, so be it but I don’t excuse mass murder and I don’t excuse wasting taxpayer dollar$ on a vendetta.

Better to save a life, than take another!

perminate incarceration would be great.  I know the perfect cell mate for him.  Chucky Manson.  They can spend cold showers and warm nights together.  I know, We’d have to send him to California to live with Charlie, but hey.  They are looking for people.

You people who want this waste of space confined in prison the rest of his life are unbelieveable. Then YOU pay for it. I sure as hell don’t want to. Save me and the rest of the taxpayers $$$ and put a bullet in his skull immediately.

The thing is we have laws in this country and those are made for the criminals :(.  This case needs be handled very carefully, because we wouldn’t want this menance to get off on a technicality.

What’s worse? A delayed hearing or Isaac being your neighbor?  What’s our safety worth?  As long as he is somewhere, where he can’t do this again, I think it’s worth it.

The death penalty might be the way to go but even with that comes appeals and a 20 year wait.  Either way, us the tax payers will be paying for the guy for a very long time.  There is no short term solution except confinement at whatever cost.  Because my life and the life of my childern is worth the price.

That’s my 2 cents, for what it’s worth!

Skagitonian1982....I understand what you are saying but it would be a waste of taxpayers money, letting his attorney play games.  He knew what he did as he admitted it when he turned himself in.  Now he doesn’t want to die!  What about those people he gunned down?  They didn’t want to die either.  Where was their right and where is that right to see justice.  It isn’t letting him spend the rest of his life in prison, at our expense and at the cost of their lives.  As I said, I normally I do not say which way I believe in when it comes to the death penalty but in this case, I believe in what the bible says...An eye for an eye.  If we dealt with these types of crimes the way the do in other countries, our crime level would be much less.  There is no doubt as to his guilt.  In this case justice should have been swifter.  This isn’t a vendetta.  IT’S ASKING FOR JUSTICE!  You say it’s better to save a life (with the money saved from wasting it on a vendetta to an innocent person) than waste zillions on taking a(Satanic)Life!  We wouldn’t be wasting zillions on him if he gets the death penalty and it is seen through to it’s conclusion.  Think of the terror in these peoples faces as they faced their killer on that day.  Two of those killed were friends of mine.  I can’t imagine what they went through but Zamora does.
I value your opinion and others but in this case, my mind is made up.  We need to stop playing games with killers and making it out like a three ring circus.

MV93, cost is not the issure.  Plus, it would cost much, much more to put this terd to death.  Why put him out of his misery.  Put the families and friends of the victims out of theirs and let him slowly rot with no chance of freedom again.  Locked up for the rest of his life would be much more cruel on him.  Having to hear the screams from others for years and fearing someone might do a damer on him.
