I agree how can you ticket these people. They should be able to submit there case in a court of law right? So how is the camera going to swear on the bible to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth…

Superior Court says the law requires tickets for infractions caught on camera to cost no more than parking tickets

The law is the law.

Why should people pay anything, when its the city and the police that have become that lazy? If they are going to switch law enforcement into a bunch of cameras, then they had better be damn accurate, because the last time I checked, not even a lie detector is 100 percent accurate! And if the city and police stand by these cameras, shouldn’t there be a live feed for public viewing on the internet?

According to http://auto.howstuffworks.com/red-light-camera1.htm they use a bunch of cameras to take pictures of the car.  I don’t know about anyone else but with states laying off police if cameras can do some work and leave the police to catch real crimes then shouldn’t these cameras be a good thing?

Only if the camera is 100 percent accurate and the fines are the same as what a police officer would give. I have driven by, one of those speed checker machines....and I know for a fact that some of them are 5 miles off....me and a friend proved it by, driving his car by it, my car by it, and my truck by it....each time it registered 20 in a 25 even though we drove it at 25. But as far as using them eventually to have less police setting up speed traps and etc.. I think it would eventually be a great idea. unless everyone changes the plates to (00odo0o) then good luck to the cameras!

The camera’s arent checking your speed, it takes your picture if you run a red light.
