SO IF THE MAN DRIVING THE VEHICLE THAT CAUSED THIS FATALITY IS AN AMERICAN, WE KNOW THIS HISPANIC FAMILY WILL NOT GET THE JUSTICE THEY DESERVE, BUT IF IT WOULD OF BEEN THE OTHER WAY AROUND, THESE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN LIFE SENTENCE…

SO SAD FOR THIS JUSTICE SYSTEM.

American or not, the man who caused the accident is the one who died. Whatever your point is, I don’t think this story fits it very well.

well, soooooooory mister r.v
i didnt catch that the driver died.  well in that case it is too bad becasue innocent people died just because this person wasnt obeying the flow of traffic.  anyways, i am just furious because i just saw a report that these americans beat and tortured to death a mexican and the only thing they got was 3 months of parole, but if it was a mexican/hispanic beating and torturing one of your people, oh man, they would of gotten the death sentence, i’m sure.  this justice system is just garbage…

Hey ladiva, what the heck are you talking about. The driver died and there is absolutely no mention of charges or the justice system.

You saw a report about Americans beating a Mexican and all they got was 3 months parole? Fortunately for “us people” the latino’s only prey on each other for now, LOL, just joking. The fact that you believe there is a difference between Americans and Mexicans says more about you then it does about the realities of America. You see when you are an American you are an American. Your not Mexican, or German, or anything else you are an American. Now you can be an American of what-ever heritage but your still an American. We just had a holiday that kinda explains all that. Now if you are an illegal then you should go back there and make it a paradise on earth. Don’t come here and try to turn it into a third world dung pile.

Regardless of their ethnicity, I know first hand that this is an avoidable accident waiting to happen. I was involved (victim) in a near head-on collision going Northbound on I-5 by an 80 year old man driving his car southbound. I was car #2 in a row of 3 that were involved. Car #1 swerved right, I swerved left, and car #3 got hit head-on. I count us all fortunate, in that we all survived, and there was a logging truck next to us as this all happened. It could have been much worse.

My fix would be to place a strip at the “exit” that would puncture the tires when driven in the wrong direction. Now, almost 20 years later people are dying from a fairly avoidable accident. I wish easy changes could be made that would help save lives

Great idea valleygirl!  Of course down here that would be tricky as some of our exits, become on ramps.  Pierce County has some tricky freeway stuff going on.

Ladiva,
If you hate this country that much, you are allowed to surrender your citizenship and move elsewhere, you are not required to stay an unfortunate American. But, I suspect, you would prefer to complain rather than do anything of real value. You can be part of the solution or be part of the problem.
I never saw any mention of nationality for either person involved in this collision and I also do not see what that has to do with anything. ASSUMING anything based upon a name is foolish. If the driver that caused the collision was an illegal, it does not matter anymore. The injured party MIGHT be able to recover damages from the estate, IF there is one. If he is an illegal, deport him when he recovers.
As for those on/off ramps, very poor designs everywhere, not just Seattle or the Mt. Vernon area. I have relocated to the Spokane area and the ramps here are a total nightmare! The on and the off ramp are often combined which must come the school of engineers that claim tunnels are the safest place to be in an earthquake! They need to be corrected, but how to do that effectively is not within my knowledge.
