Many offices and businesses will be closed Friday for the Fourth of July, and some services have been rescheduled. Here is a partial list:

Garbage collection
• Waste Management customers: Normal pickup Friday.
• Island Disposal customers: Normal pickup Friday.
• Anacortes: Pickup trash and recycling the following Friday as a double load.
• Coupeville: Normal pickup Friday.
• Mount Vernon: Friday pickup will be Monday.
• Oak Harbor: Friday pickup will be Thursday.

Transportation
• Skagit Transit buses and Dial-A-Ride will be closed.Call 360-757-4433 or log onto http://www.skat.org.
• Island Transit will be closed. Call 800-240-8747 or log onto http://www.islandtransit.org.
• Washington State Ferries will add sailings to the Anacortes-San Juan Islands routes on Wednesday, Thursday and Monday and follow a normal schedule Friday and Saturday. • Skagit County Ferry to Guemes Island will follow a normal schedule.

Whidbey Island Naval Air Station
• The Charles Porter Gate off of Ault Field Road is the only gate open from Friday to Sunday. The gates at the Seaplane base will follow a regular schedule.

Newspaper
• The Skagit Valley Herald offices will be closed Friday. Newspaper delivery will continue as usual.
