June 17
4:20 p.m. Skagit County Sheriff deputies received a report of a theft in the 600 block of Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton. A caller said she allowed her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend to stay at her house. The caller later discovered her debit card missing and approximately $2,500 in unauthorized transactions had been made. A deputy is investigating.
7:40 p.m. A tarp-covered wheelbarrow full of stereo equipment was found outside an unoccupied house in the 24800 block of Devils Creek Road, Big Lake. The caller watches the home while the resident is gone. It appeared someone was in the process of burglarizing and then left goods behind.
June 18
9:22 a.m. A former resident in the 7600 block of Powerhouse Drive, Sedro-Woolley, reported that personal property was stolen from his locked dorm room. Clothing and stereo equipment valued at $1,250 were taken.
11:44 a.m. The side window was broken out of a vehicle parked at the Squires Lake Trail head in Sedro-Woolley. Nothing appeared to be missing.
June 19
11:19 a.m. A 9-year-old girl was riding her bike in the 45800 block of June Alley, Concrete, when a neighbor’s black lab chased her and nipped her ankle. A deputy spoke to dog owner and a Concrete code enforcment officer will follow up.
8:35 p.m. Metal cable was stolen from the old paintball field on First Street, Hamilton. The owner was saving the scrap cable to be sold and recycled.
June 20
9:33 p.m. A caller in the 7300 block of E Avenue, Concrete, reported a red pickup truck had driven by the caller’s house at least eight times. They wanted a deputy to check on it. The vehicle was gone from the area when the deputy arrived.
June 21
7:41 p.m. A generator was reported stolen from a residence in the 6400 block of Lillian Lane, Prairie.
June 22
2:41 p.m. A red BMX bicycle valued at $150 was stolen from a residence in the 7600 block of Cedar Park, Concrete.
10:05 p.m. A resident in the 6700 block of Highway 9, Prairie, was away from home for a week. Upon return, he discovered three rifles, miscellaneous tools and 120 DVDs (including all of the South Park TV series) had been stolen.
June 23
5:22 a.m. A car in the 22900 block of Mosier Road, Sedro-Woolley was broken into overnight. A wallet with credit cards was stolen.
11:14 a.m. A caller reported parking their car and going for a hike on South Skagit Highway, Day Creek. While she was gone the car was broken into and a purse with credit cards was stolen.
1:22 p.m. A window was broken out of a car parked at a park in the 52800 block of Rockport Road, Rockport. A purse with a wallet was stolen.
