A 28-year-old man wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting death in Burlington last month may be in Moses Lake or possibly Texas, the Burlington Police Department said today.

Luis Alberto Ugalde has a $500,000 warrant for second-degree murder in the shooting death of Walter Chacon-Villanueva on June 13.

Ugalde may be doing construction work in Moses Lake, but more likely is in Texas with family, said Detective Sgt. Scott Butler.

Ugalde is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Identifiable tattoos include a heart with a sword on his right arm, the word “Luis,” on his left arm, and the words “Vanity Nicole,” on the left side of his neck.

Ugalde is considered armed and dangerous.

Chacon-Villanueva was driving on South Alder Street when a single gunshot pierced the driver’s window of his vehicle and struck him in the head, according to police. The shot came from a passing vehicle.

Police already arrested two others in the shooting — 22-year-old Armando Duniga Menchaca Jr. of Burlington and 31-year old David Alejandro Ugalde of Sedro-Woolley.

Anyone with information on Luis Ugalde’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 360-428-3131.
