Fidalgo artists open studios for annual tour

Skagit Artists Together’s fifth annual juried Studio Tour, Saturday and Sunday July 19-20, includes 25 selected artists from Sedro-Woolley, Conway, La Conner, Anacortes and Edison who will share their art with their Northwest neighbors.
Fidalgo Island artists are metalworker Paul Thorne, painter Jennifer Bowman, musical collage artist and painter Barbara Silverman Summers, painter and printmaker Sarabeth Clevenger, painter Carol Merrick, painter Theodora Johnson, mixed media and printmaker Christie Houston and Lloyd Houston, who creates objects, images and jigsaw puzzles.

The tour includes painters who bring their unique vision to life through rich compositions in watercolor, oil, pastel, Sumi ink, acrylics, collage, glass, metal artists, printmakers, ceramics, driftwood carvings, fabric and more.
This year Skagit Artists Together collaborates with Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland on the preservation group’s 13th gallery show and benefit July 19-27 at Seaside Gallery in La Conner. Proceeds from gallery sales will support the preservation of Skagit County farmland. Visit
