Burlington-based Nordic Tugs Inc. announced Thursday that it will revive one its most popular models, the Nordic Tug 26, more than a decade after it stopped manufacturing that vessel.

The Nordic Tug 26 debuted in 1980 and remained in production until 1997. Company officials said the model has remained a hit with boaters.

“The Nordic Tug 26 is as popular today as it was in the 1980s,” Nordic Tugs Executive Vice-president David Goehring said in a press release. “We consistently receive inquiries about whether we would consider building the boat again, and with the current state of the economy, we're seeing a shift in consumer interest from our larger to our smaller models.”

Nordic Tugs manufactures hand-crafted tug-style yachts from 26 to 54 feet. For more information, go to http://www.nordictugs.com
