MOUNT VERNON — Katie Rowe and Given Joshua Kutz announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bob and Sue Rowe of Missoula, Mont.

The groom-to-be is the son of Given and Tanya Kutz of Mount Vernon.

Rowe graduated from the University of Portland in 2008. She works as a registered nurse at Emmanuel Children’s Hospital in Portland, Ore.

Kutz graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 2003 and from the University of Portland in 2007 with a degree in sociology. He is employed by the Los Angeles Dodgers (minor leagues) in Midland, Mich.

The couple are planning an Oct. 11 wedding in Missoula, Mont.
