Six positions on three Skagit County Fire Protection District boards are up for re-election this year.
There is no filing fee and unless noted all positions are for six-year terms.
• Richard T. (Nick) Nicholls is up for re-election for Fire District 17, Position 3. The district covers Guemes Island. Visit http://www.guemesfire.org.
• Two members are up for re-election in Fire District 11: Cheryl Dennis, Position 1 and Noel Johnson, Position 3. The district, better known as the Mount Erie Volunteer Fire Department, covers Fidalgo Island outside the city of Anacortes limits, including South Fidalgo.

• Three members are up for re-election in Fire District 13: James Grove, Position 1 (four year unexpired term); Alan Cooper, Position 2 (two year unexpired term); and Charles Hedlund, Position 3 (short/full term).
The district’s coverage includes Summit Park, Swinomish Village and Shelter Bay.
