The Burlington-Edison boys' basketball team will play for the Class 2A state championship at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Jake Anderson scored 89 points, Evan Coulter scored 15 and the Tigers pulled away from Port Townsend for a 58-33 victory in the semifinals Friday night.

Colin Stewart added 13 points and hit three 3-pointers for the Tigers, who held Port Townsend to 26.7 percent field-goal shooting in the second half.

The Tigers will face a physical Ephrata team that shot 7-of-8 from the free-throw line in overtime to beat Mark Morris in a thriller in the other semifinal. In that game, Patrick Simon scored 21, Daniel Simon had 14 and Derrick Webb added 10 to lead the Tigers, who survived a 27-point effort, including a game-tying 3-pointer as time wound down in overtime, from Mark Morris guard Jyles Peterson.

It's the second chance for a state title at the Tacoma Dome for the Tigers, who lost to Pullman in the championship game in football.
