Burlington-Edison rallies for one-point lead

Burlington-Edison leads Ephrata 41-40 after three quarters of the Class 2A state championship game at the Tacoma Dome.

Sparked by the 1-3-1 trapping defense that has been so successful here, Burlington-Edison went on a 14-0 run to take a 38-35 lead, holding Ephrata scoreless for 4 1/2 minutes. Jake Anderson scored six and Kolby Arendse five during the burst.

Anderson has 18 points thus far for Burlington-Edison. Daniel Simon has 12 and Patrick Simon 11 for Ephrata.
