Mount Vernon wrestler Kyle Hoagland has been named to the Class 3A Academic State Champions team by the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association.

Hoagland, an alternate to the state tournament at 140 pounds, has a 3.95 grade point average. He placed third in the Northwest District and fifth at the Region 1 tournaments.
