Oak Harbor duo selected for All-State game

Oak Harbor seniors Rodrick Rumble and Jake Rouser have been selected to the West squad for the 2008 Class 4A/3A East-West All Star Football game, which will be played July 3 at Central Valley Stadium in Spokane.

Rumble was a first-team all Western Conference receiver after finishing the season with 57 catches for 764 yards and 10 touchdowns. Rouser, an Idaho State recruit, caught 27 passes for 379 yards and scored five touchdowns. He was first-team all-conference as a tight end and defensive end.

They will play for Bothell coach Tom Bainter, the coach of the team both beat in the state championship game in 2006 and lost to in the state quarterfinals in 2007. Both could be catching passes from Bothell quarterback John Hekker.
