Mute Math

I was looking around on my friends' Myspace profiles, and someone had a YouTube video linked there of a band called "Mute Math" playing on Letterman. I had never heard them, or of them, before. I was very impressed with their energy, especially the drummer (who tapes his headphones to his head to keep them on while he flails about). I decided to rent their live DVD, "Flesh And Bones Electric Fun" from Netflix and see what the rest of their songs sounded like live and wasn't disappointed. They are a really great band with lots of energy and I recommend that everyone check them out. I'd describe them as a mix of contemporary pop, some electronic influence, alt. rock, and jazz. I was able to hear some post-show editing on the DVD (possibly in the pitch-corrected vocals) which might detract at times, but it's a very inspiring performance nonetheless.
