Police credit two Citizen’s Auxiliary Patrol members for the arrest of a 30-year-old San Juan County man on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The patrol saw the man in a black El Camino back up in the boat launch at Washington Park Tuesday, April 8 around 10:30 a.m. They were suspicious because there was no boat attached to the vehicle and the bed of the vehicle was full of personal items.

They continued their patrols but called an officer who contacted the man and reportedly found he was in possession of 47 grams of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe.

The man was cited for the marijuana and booked into jail on the warrants.

• A 37-year-old Anacortes man was arrested on charges of DUI after a report from the Washington State Patrol that the man was driving erratically on Highway 20.
