March 24
5:10 p.m. Mount Vernon Police officers received a report of a burglary in the 2000 block of N. 30th Street. A flat-screen TV and personal papers were taken. There was no sign of forced entry. Loss is valued at $1,100.

March 25
2:19 a.m. A chunk of asphalt was used to break a back window of a 1992 Ford Escort in the 300 block of W. Gates Street. A compressor and large speaker box were stolen. Loss and damage are valued at $650.

7:45 a.m. A rock was through a back window of a 2002 Dodge Durango in the 900 block of S. 28th Street. Two portable DVD players were stolen. Loss is valued at $100.

12:06 p.m. Gasoline was stolen from a 1993 Ford Econoline van in the 1000 block of Riverside Drive by cutting into a fuel hose. Video surveillance footage is being reviewed to gather information on a suspect.

2:04 p.m. A burglary was reported in the 2200 block of E. Fulton Street. Entry was gained through an unlocked sliding glass door. Two 13-year-old Mount Vernon males were charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, computer trespass in the second degree, residential burglary and unlawful display of sexually explicit material.

8:12 p.m. Access to Oasis Teen Shelter was gained by breaking a window. Nothing was missing from the building, but damage is valued at $200.

9:49 p.m. A window was broken out of a vehicle in the 100 block of Valley Mall Way. A briefcase and a bowling bag with a purple bowling ball and shoes were stolen for a loss of $150.

March 28
12:21 a.m. A 38-year-old Mount Vernon man who had been asked to leave a business in the 2000 block of Riverside Drive was causing problems in the parking lot. The man was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital with an injury to his eye. He was trespassed from the business for one year.

March 29
5:06 a.m. A safe containing cash and jewelry was taken from a night stand in the 1600 block of S. 15th Street. Loss is estimated at $6,000.

March 30
5:48 p.m. A 39-year-old Sedro-Woolley woman entered a locked coffee stand in the 1400 block of E. Kincaid Street. She was cited for theft in the third for taking food items.
