SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Elenor Powers will celebrate her 80th birthday Saturday, May 3, 2008, with family, friends and former students during a no-gift open house from 2 to 6 p.m. at 10383 Ridge Place, Sedro-Woolley.

Powers’ children and their spouses are Cameron (Hank) and Laura Powers of Sedro-Woolley, Brett and Lisa Powers of Mount Vernon, and Lynn Powers of Seattle. She has two grandchildren.

Elenor is an artist and retired. She was an art teacher, and a gallery and paint store owner. She designed Mount Vernon’s logo and the city’s centennial logo.

Elenor Powers was born May 3, 1928, in Markinch, Saskatchewan, Canada.
