April 21

10:15 a.m. Skagit County Sheriff deputies received a report that a loose dog, in the 21600 block of Lafayette Road, Sedro-Woolley, was chasing chickens and snapping at people. Animal control talked to the owner and warned them about the dog’s behavior and potential consequences.

5:21 p.m. Deputies received a report of a possible vagrant on Baker Loop Road, Concrete. A deputy checked and found three tents that appear to have people living in them. Garbage also was scattered around the area. The deputy will be following up.

April 22

10:30 a.m. A business owner in the 31300 block of State Route 20, Concrete, reported that he has video footage of a shoplifter. A deputy is following up on the information.

5:43 p.m. A blue heeler dog came onto the road on W. Big Lake Boulevard, Big Lake, and bit a jogger on the leg. The dog has been quarantined for 10 days by animal control. The dog’s owner is working with animal control to keep the dog under control.

April 23

4:36 p.m. A theft was reported in the 45500 block of Concrete Sauk Valley Road, Concrete. An employee of a local company reported that suspects have illegally harvested several cedar trees from company land. The caller gave deputies information on possible suspects and investigation is continuing. The trees that were harvested are valued at more than $100,000.

April 24

6:29 a.m. A pack of cigarettes was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 18500 block of Blackberry Lane, Big Rock.

April 25

1:14 p.m. A caller from Sedro-Woolley had questions about his neighbor’s roosters crowing and the county noise ordinance. Animal control answered the caller’s questions and said that under certain circumstances animal noises can be a violation of the ordinance.



April 26

1:43 p.m. A caller reported that a Skilsaw and a generator had been stolen from his carport in the 26400 block of Minkler Road, Sedro-Woolley. The caller had suspect information and a deputy is following up. These same items had previously been stolen by a family member and had been found at a pawn shop that time.

8:39 p.m. An argument over a bicycle seat occured in the 31500 block of E. Second Street, Lyman. The first party’s bike was stolen a few days ago. He now believed the second party had the seat from the stolen bike mounted on the second party’s bike. The deputy resolved the issue with no arrests.

April 27

12:40 p.m. An expired passport and a bottle of champagne were taken overnight from a vehicle in the 7500 block of Delvan Hill Road, Sedro-Woolley.

2 p.m. Two vehicles were prowled overnight in the 23300 block of Pringle Street, Clear Lake. A coat was taken and a check was in one of the pockets.

8:50 p.m. A couch was dumped on the side of the road in the 9000 block of BD Minkler Road, Sedro-Woolley.
