April 20

3:03 p.m. Skagit County Sheriff deputies received a report that a female lab-type dog was roaming loose in the neighborhood of the 17509 block of Bradshaw Road, Mount Vernon. The caller reported that the dog was chasing her cats. None of the cats had been injured at the time of the call. Animal control checked the area but was unable to locate the dog.

April 22

8:22 a.m. A caller reported that rain gear and boots valued at $45 were stolen from a pole building in the 8900 block of Farm to Market Road, Allen.

April 23

3:16 p.m. A caller in the 17200 block of Bear Creek Road, Bow, reported that she was walking her dog when another dog came out and attacked her dog. Animal control is looking into dangerous dog charges.

April 24

3:09 p.m. Two guitars were stolen from a house in the 23700 block of Silvernail Road, Conway. Several other valuable items were not taken. A window was broken, but entry was not gained by that method.

April 25

8:28 a.m. A recreational shooter reported that while he was using a popular Lake Cavanaugh target practice area, he noticed that a transient person had set up a camp nearby. The caller was worried that the transient might accidentally get hurt.

9:23 a.m. A caller in the 18100 block of Fox Hollow Lane, Bow, reported that while she was in her yard with her children a neighbor’s dog came into her yard and threatened to attack. Animal control contacted the dog’s owner who said he realized the dog was creating problems and that he’d had the animal euthanized.

April 26

6:43 p.m. A store owner in the 21000 block of Cedardale Road, Conway, reported a younger looking male stole two 18 packs of beer and left in a black colored car. A deputy investigated and it appears the suspect lives in the Mill Creek area. Investigation is continuing.

April 27

4:11 p.m. A caller in the 12300 block of Frances Street, Burlington, reported being trapped with her family in their vehicle by two dogs running loose in the neighborhood. The caller said they were scared to get out and run for the house. When the dogs went around back the caller and their family were able to safely run into the house. Animal control will follow up and contact the dogs’ owners.

April 28

8:54 a.m. A 20-foot-long black trailer and an orange Kubota tractor model L35 were stolen from a business in the 9500 block of Green Road, Burlington.
