April 18
11:02 a.m. Mount Vernon Police officers received a report of a burglary in the 400 block of S. LaVenture Road. A Sony Playstation and some games valued at approximately $160 were stolen. Entry was made through a window.
April 19
8:20 a.m. A window was broken out of a 1997 Dodge Caravan in the 100 block of Milwaukee Street. A portable DVD player was stolen. Loss is estimated at $100.
April 20
1:30 a.m. Security guards for the Downtown Street Fair witnessed a 21-year-old Mount Vernon man shoplift a bird feeder and cosmetic products. They called 911. Officers arrived and cited the man for theft in the third and drove him home.
April 21
9:36 a.m. A weed eater and an edger were stolen from a trailer in the 400 block of N. Ninth Street. Loss is estimated at $400.
1:30 p.m. Plywood valued at $1,000 was stolen from a job site in the 800 block of Crested Butte Boulevard.
April 22
12:51 p.m. Two 16-year-old females from Edmonds were arrested for theft in the third for shoplifting alcohol and cough medicine in the 200 block of E. College Way. The girls were also signed juvenile runaways. They were released to a parent.
April 23
1:31 p.m. Two subjects left a restaurant in the 100 block of E. College Way without paying their bill. Witnesses obtained the license plate number of the fleeing vehicle. Officers contacted a 23-year-old Mount Vernon man who was cited for driving with a suspended license. Theft charges will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney on the 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old Burlington woman. Loss was valued at $30.
April 24
4:40 p.m. A portable DVD player and a small TV were taken from a unit in the 400 block of S. LaVenture Road. Method of entry is unknown.
April 25
6:46 a.m. A window was broken out of a 2007 Nissan Maxima in the 400 block of Main Street. A GPS unit was stolen. Loss is valued at $350.
April 26
10:30 p.m. A brown and white Mongoose freestyle mountain bike valued at $100 was stolen in the 200 block of N. Barker Street.
April 27
1:13 a.m. A window was broken out of a 1998 Dodge Durango in the 2100 block of E. College Way. Suspect information was provided to the police.
