Get on your dancing shoes and jump to fiddle tunes, boogie to funk and soul or glide to some gypsy swing this week on Fidalgo and Guemes islands.
On Friday, April 25, dancers will be forced to choose:

Watertown Pub presents alt-rock band Loyal Sinners and hard rockers Pink Lincoln, both of Bellingham. Music starts at about 9 p.m.

Also Friday, Department of Safety plans an all-ages soul/funk dance party, and Anderson’s General Store on Guemes Island offers gypsy swing trio Allen Lewis and Fidalgo Swing. Lewis, Jake Baird and Josh Rust promise to swing the house starting at 6 p.m. DoS events typically start about 8 p.m.
Those who can’t get out to Guemes can catch Fidalgo Swing at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Rockfish Grill.

On Saturday, April 26, the Rockfish presents the Bow Diddlers. Music starts at 9 p.m. Although the Bow Diddlers really like to play foot-stompin’ fiddle tunes and old-timey country music like Hank Williams and the Louvin Brothers, they also deliver boogie-woogie, swing, a little jazz and some rock ‘n’ roll. The band is packed with musical veterans who are always up for something new: fiddler-extraordinaire Jon Parry, Bill Jedrzejewski on vocals and guitar, Peter Pendras on lead guitar and vocals, Dan McDonald on bass and Dan Duggin on accordion and keys.
