MOUNT VERNON — Mount Baker Middle School is hosting the annual San Juan Music Educators Honor Festival on Saturday, bringing talented middle school musicians together to work with a guest clinician and put on a concert.

About 250 students are chosen for the three groups: band, choir, and orchestra, and are the cream of the crop from schools in this region, including Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, Anacortes, Concrete, Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale, Blaine and several more. They represent the top 10 percent of musicians from each participating school.

The public is invited to attend the concert at 4 p.m. at the middle school commons area. Tickets at the door are $3 for adults, $2 for students, and $1 for seniors.
