Leaders of the 39th Legislative District Democratic Party on Sunday released the names of delegates elected at Saturday’s presidential caucus in Arlington.

Barack Obama received 25 delegates who will go on to the 2nd Congressional District caucus May 17 for the final selection of delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

Hillary Clinton won 11 delegates to the congressional district caucus.

Delegates from the 10th and 40th districts will be chosen during the county Democratic convention this Saturday in Anacortes. Those selected will also continue to the congressional district event.

Skagit County will have six delegates and one alternate from the 39th Legislative District supporting Obama at the 2nd Congressional caucus. The rest of Obama’s delegates are Snohomish County residents.

The Skagit County delegates for Obama include county Prosecutor Rich Weyrich, Dwight Washburn, Lindsay Meagher, Diane Studley, Linda Johnson, and Wendy Brown. The county’s one Obama alternate is Catherine Wickman.

Judith Entwife was the county’s lone Clinton delegate. All of the other 10 delegates were from Snohomish County. Skagit County resident Janis Washburn was chosen as a Clinton alternate.

The 39th district includes most of eastern Skagit and Snohomish counties and small pockets of eastern Whatcom and King counties.
