Fisher promotes Powers
Jerome Fisher, President of Fisher Companies, recently named Dan Powers as President of Fisher & Sons, the company’s construction division based in Burlington. Powers has been with Fisher & Sons since 1997, and has been vice president of the division since late 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Portland with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

Eye surgery center to open
North Cascade Eye Associates is opening a new state-of-the-art surgery center at 1200 Little Mountain Lane in Mount Vernon. The facility will be staffed by Dan Siapco, MD, Nannette Crowell, MD and Becca Dale, MD and will provide eye surgery including cataract surgery, lasik, cornea transplants and more. The grand opening will be celebrated with a frame show from 1 to 5 p.m. today; a skin-care show all day, a public open house from 2 to 5:30 p.m., and a professional open house at 6 p.m. Thursday; and a public open house from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and a cataract seminar at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
