I didn’t mean to imply that I thought you, specifically, were afraid Manerva. I meant it in a general sense. Sorry for the confusion. But I see your point, it is scary for people to confront this issue. But there is safety in numbers, too. I certainly don’t want to put myself or anyone in danger. Anyhow, even if this particular incident isn’t gang related, it’s still violence that doesn’t belong in our city. I think about all the what if’s. What if I was driving by with my kids when this shooting was happening? I wasn’t, but next time I, or some other innocent bystander could be, and it enrages me. I am not suggesting protesting only gangs, but all violence, gang realated or not, which has been occuring in Mount Vernon lately. Sorry for rambling.
