MOUNT VERNON — A 19-year-old Mount Vernon woman was arrested Monday in connection of the Feb. 23 death of a Stanwood man in a hotel room.

The cause of 52-year-old Patrick Kevin Brady’s death is pending the results of lab tests, according to the Skagit County Coroner’s Office.

The woman is suspected of providing a drug that resulted in Brady's death.

Cleaning staff at the Days Inn on Riverside Drive found the victim's body and called the police. Authorities declined to disclose details about the case because it was still under investigation.

Brady is survived by his wife, according to the coroner’s office.

The female suspect remained in jail this afternoon pending payment of $25,000 bail. She also was held on investigation in five separate theft cases.
