STANWOOD 6/28/2009 --- Bible Baptist Church Stanwood held a Sunday night graduation ceremony for its first Bible Institute graduates, David and Renee Anderson of Stanwood, both completing three years of study and earning certificates in Theology.

Bible Baptist Church has offered Bible Institute courses since 1999. “This is a milestone for our church,” says Pastor Steve Casteel, “and a great testimony to our Lord Jesus Christ and of His continued working in the hearts of His saints. “Bible Baptist Church is an old-fashioned, fundamental Baptist church, with a heart for reaching the Stanwood and Camano Island areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

David came to know Christ the same year he started Bible Institute. “Some seek to know and emulate sports figures.  Others seek to know and emulate movie stars,” says David. “I am seeking to know and emulate the One who saved my soul from hell, to point men and women of all walks of life to Jesus Christ before it is eternally too late.”

“Learning the history of Israel, Christ and the epistles, the canonization of Scripture, doctrines of the faith, and industrious, profitable study of
Scripture, has grown my walk with God to be a source of help to others,” says Renee. “Wherever the Lord leads, whatever the Lord decides, that I desire to do.”
