The Clan Heather Dancers offer introductory Scottish and Irish step dance workshops on Saturday, May 16 at the Mount Vernon Senior Center, 1401 Cleveland.
School director Heather Richendrfer organizes the dance competition at the Skagit Valley Highland Games. She teaches workshops across North America and judges Highland dance around the world. The school has regular weekly classes in Mount Vernon.
Highland dancers joining the school in May can participate in the Highland Games July 11 and 12.
The Scottish Highland dance workshop is from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and Irish step dance is from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Cost is $15 per class. All ages are welcome.
