As the often-gray skies sometimes give way to blue, the resulting clarity can lead to images that emphasize and celebrate the emerging light that has been dormant for some time, and sightings of which might continue to be rare—not unusual for this time of year.

It goes without saying that the submission of pictures by our readers is much appreciated. In the interest of safety, make sure to mind your picture-taking surroundings and keep you and your group out of harm’s way at all times (especially when in close proximity to the critters—large and small—who live in close proximity.)
