Here’s a sampling of recent calls to local police and fire agencies:
A 911 caller in Mount Vernon reported about 11:30 p.m. Monday that people in two vehicles in a parking lot in the 300 block of College Way appeared to being engaging in a drug-related exchange, police said. Officers responded but were unable to locate the vehicles.
n Mount Vernon police were called about 2:15 p.m. Monday to investigate reports of vandalism at a used car lot in the 2400 block of Old Highway 99 South. The business reported that several cars on its lot appeared to have been keyed, police said. No suspects were identified.
n The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Bernie Sanders campaign sign being purposefully damaged this past weekend. The sign is located on the corner of Highway 9 and Front Street in Clear Lake, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Someone apparently tried to rip the sign and tear it down. The sign has since been repaired, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
