The Guemes Chamber Music Series is back with a holiday concert just before Christmas.
The concert, featuring the talents of Nancy Bean, violin; David Bean, violin; Karie Prescott, viola; and Lloyd Smith, cello, is from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Guemes Island Community Center.
Tickets, $25, can be bought at the door.
Musicians will perform Christmas favorites and music by Bach, Farago and Debussy.
Nancy Bean became a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra in 1983 and was its assistant concertmaster from 1986 until 2009. She is the artistic director of 1807 & Friends and is first violinist of the Wister Quartet and the Amerita Chamber Players.
David Bean is a graduate of Western Washington University and is a member of the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra.
Prescott is the founder of the music series and has performed on her viola all over the world. She is a member of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra and records soundtracks for motion pictures and TV shows.
Smith was a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra from 1967 to 2003. He is cellist of the Wister Quartet, 1807 & friends, the Amerita Chamber Players, the Florian Tri and the Barnard Trio.
