The Port of Anacortes is moving toward renovations and modernization at its RV Park at Cap Sante Marina.

The port received approval for its conditional-use permit from the City Council last week to move forward on the project at the park at 611 T Avenue.

The modernization is set to include paving, landscaping and stormwater improvements, plus new laundry and shower facilities.

The port also plans improved pedestrian walkways in the park and along Market Street.

Port of Anacortes Director of Planning, Properties and Environmental Brenda Treadwell said in an email last week that construction should start in spring 2022, grant funding and weather permitting.

The port is working toward 60% design now, which will mean more approval from the city. Then, it will go out to bid.

The project is dependent on funding, Treadwell said in the email.

Will the plans include an upgrade to the dog park for city residents as well as Marina and RV guests?
