A ROSY DAY OUT: Christianson’s Nursery is hosting its 16th Annual Rose Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the nursery, 15806 Best Road, Mount Vernon. There will be authors and garden experts from throughout the region to offer gardeners information on the latest gardening trends and more.

CAMANO WILDLIFE GARDEN TOUR: Visit wildlife gardens at the Twelfth Annual Camano Island Backyard Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22. Pick up maps at Island County Multi-Purpose Center, 141 N. East Camano Drive, on the day of the event. Participants will get information on native plants, wildlife, composting, as well as challenges faced on particular properties. OAK HARBOR GARDEN TOUR: The 20th Annual Oak Harbor Garden Tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22. A $20 donation includes access to six wonderful gardens and refreshments. Tickets are available at the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Christianson’s Nursery & Greenhouse, Mailliard’s Landing Nursery, Rain Shadow Nursery, 3Sisters Market, Wind & Tide Bookshop, and Azusa Farm & Gardens.

SKAGIT SYMPHONY GARDEN TOUR: The Skagit Symphony’s annual “Gardens of Note” garden tour fundraiser is scheduled for 10 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 30. This self-guided tour features six lovely gardens in La Conner and Mount Vernon. $25; tickets through bownpapertickets.com, at the symphony office (360-848-9336), and at Christianson’s Nursery, Skagit Valley Gardens, Tri Dee Arts, “D” Avenue Nursery in Anacortes, and Thompson’s Greenhouse in Sedro-Woolley.
