Skagit County Public Health reported 463 new cases of COVID-19 for the seven-day period running Oct. 24 through Oct. 30.
It marked the 12th consecutive seven-day, Sunday-through-Saturday period with 300 or more new cases, the highest number over that 12-week span, and the fourth time in seven weeks the number has been more than 400.
The 463 new cases include both positive PCR tests and positive antigen tests. Prior to Aug. 11, Public Health reported only positive PCR tests among its COVID-19 totals.
Among the new cases reported, 273 were from positive PCR tests and 190 from positive antigen tests.
The seven-day Sunday-through-Saturday period running Oct. 24 to Oct. 30 included one new death and 27 new hospitalizations.
Through Oct. 30, the county has had 110 COVID-19 deaths and 632 hospitalizations throughout the pandemic.
