May 31 COVID Chart

The state Department of Health reported 172 new cases of COVID-19 in Skagit County for the five days running May 22 through May 26.

The 172 new cases represents an increase from the 169 new cases reported for the previous five-day, Sunday-through-Thursday period, but is well below the high of 1,159 recorded in January.

Cases go from 169 to 172. Since when is a 1.8% increase considered a “jump?”

I see they revised the headline to "ticks up slightly." Much more accurate now.
