Star Austin Rogers-White

The body of a 2-year-old boy who went missing in the Skagit River late last month has been recovered about 4 miles north of where he was last seen.

At about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, duck hunters in the 20000 block of Maupin Road found the child’s body just off shore in Skagit Bay, according to a news release from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.

The body has been confirmed to be that of Star Austin Rogers-White, known as Austin, who went missing Nov. 29 after he apparently drove a toy electric vehicle into the river in the 21000 block of Mann Road near the south fork of the Skagit River.

The Sheriff’s Office does not suspect any foul play in the boy’s death, the news release states, and his body has been turned over to the Skagit County coroner.
