The following are criminal cases heard Thursday in Skagit County Superior Court:
RAPE OF A CHILD
A 50-year-old Mount Vernon-area man pleaded guilty to three counts related to the sexual abuse of a child.
Darren Drake pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree rape of a child and one count of incest in relation to the incidents that occurred beginning in 2010.
Drake was originally charged with 20 counts for the years-long abuse.
As part of his plea agreement, Drake cannot ask for a special sex offender sentencing alternative, which would allow him to receive treatment instead of serving time in custody.
He is scheduled to be sentenced July 18.
A 25-year-old Stanwood man is being held in the Skagit County Community Justice Center on $150,000 bail after he was charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
Cesar Gonzalez-Perez was arrested Wednesday morning after a multijurisdiction investigation that included the Skagit County Interlocal Drug Enforcement Unit, said Skagit County Senior Criminal Deputy Prosecutor Trisha Johnson.
During the investigation, law enforcement officers were allegedly able to coordinate purchases of heroin from Gonzalez-Perez multiple times between May 1 and June 12, according to court records.
One of the three charges includes a school zone enhancement, which adds time to a sentence.
