The Skagit Public Utility District completed repairs to its main water transmission line Wednesday, restoring water to affected customers.
Work was completed about 4 a.m., PUD spokesperson Kevin Tate said.
He said 59 PUD customers on Wayward Lane, Timber Lane, Old Day Creek Road and Merrifield Road had no water, and residents of Big Lake and Clear Lake had been asked to use water only when necessary.
This was the second leak discovered in the line this week. The first, found Monday morning, was repaired early Tuesday morning.
Tate said this second leak was discovered soon after repairs to the first concluded.
There doesn't appear to be a connection between the causes of the two leaks, he said.
