Traffic in Burlington might ease a bit after the city of Burlington opens up two side roads Friday.
The city will open East Whitmarsh Road to all traffic starting Friday. That road had only been open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. since the collapse of the Skagit River Bridge on Interstate 5 last month.
Marketplace Drive also will open fully in the area where it passes behind Home Depot, said Marv Pulst, Burlington public works director.
The segment of Whitmarsh Road under the Interstate 5 bridge will remain closed to accommodate construction activity in the area, Pulst said.
