BRADY, FLOYD L.

Floyd L. Brady, 81, died peacefully on the morning of April 9, 2021, in Sun City, California. Floyd is survived by his children, Michael Brady and his wife Angell Sugamele-Brady, and Steven Brady and his partner Eddy Winston, as well as his partner Alice Cano. Floyd's wife and our mom, Stella Brady, passed away in 2005. Floyd had a wonderful life full of adventure and accomplishment. Born in Springfield, MO, he and his family moved to Southern California in the mid-1940s, where they settled in San Pedro. Floyd completed high school and married Stella in 1958, and raised their two children. In 1972 the family moved to Anacortes, Washington, where Floyd continued his career at the Shell Oil Refinery and the family flourished. Floyd was active in the local Lions Club, and a Mason and Shriner. Floyd retired in 1996, and he and Stella enjoyed a very special ten years living in Winthrop, WA, and Quartzsite, AZ. After Stella's death, Floyd returned to California and settled in Sun City, and had many wonderful years with Alice. Floyd had many hobbies, including vintage automobiles (and member of the local Southside Axle Draggers car club), gardening, wood working, jewelry making, and boating. Floyd had a big and kind heart, was funny and adventurous, and loved life. He will be missed terribly. No funeral services will be held. In remembrance of Floyd, we request donations to the American Diabetes Association and/or the Shriners Hospital for Children (Tampa, FL).
