Lucille Marie Ferrario, 94, of Anacortes, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at Where the Heart Is Senior Living in Burlington. Lucille was born in Swanwick, Illinois to Frank and Viola Stern on April 18, 1926. She was the oldest of two daughters and she is survived by her sister, Bernice Collins. Lucille met her "husband to be", Angelo, while serving as Maid of Honor at the wedding of Eugene and Lorene Ferrario. Angelo was in the Navy and had come home for his brother's wedding. Within a few weeks, Lucille and Angelo became engaged, and on January 31, 1948, they were married. After living in California for six years, they were transferred (with the Texaco Company), and moved their family to Anacortes in 1958. Angelo passed away prior to Lucille. They were married for 56 years. Lucille was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Anacortes. She enjoyed writing, reading, old Western movies, as well as dancing, hiking, camping, and traveling in her younger years. She will be greatly missed by her children: John and Linda Ferrario of Anacortes, Gene and Donna Ferrario of Anacortes, Deborah and Dan Hatton of Blaine, Diane Green and Richard Smokovich of Kirkland, and Joe and Cindy Ferrario of Bow, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and their spouses. A private Rosary and Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary Catholic Church in Anacortes. Concluding private services and interment will be held at Fernhill Cemetery in Anacortes. Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel, Anacortes. To share memories of Lucille, please sign the online guestbook at
